:\\ About

Matt lives close to the Essex/Suffolk Border where he has lived most of this life.

A graduate of The Queen's University of Belfast, Matt studied History and Sociology. It is from such study that Matt became interested in society and the various factors that influence and shape the world in which we live. This gave rise to a particular interest in politics and government and the role of research and consultancy in these areas.

On graduating from Queen's, Matt had the opportunity to work as a parliamentary researcher to a MP in Westminster, London where he was able to further hone and develop his skills and interest in the political sphere of life.

The MP Matt worked for was a Shadow Minister for International Affairs and so he was able to gain particular insight into global and international issues.

Since then Matt has worked as a freelance graphic designer and website consultant, causing him to work with a number of organisations both in the public and not-for-profit sector.

Furthermore, he has had experience working as a Learning Mentor in a private college, coaching and tutoring pupils with specific learning difficulties as well as overseas students.

Currently, Matt is working as a research consultant to a bioethics & public policy thinktank in Westminster, London.

Design & administration

Alongside his interests and talents in graphic design and website design, Matt also possesses good administration and organisation skills having worked in various administrative roles for various organisations and charities, both in a voluntary and paid capacity.

Interests & Hobbies

He takes a keen interest in music with a particular interest in jazz and opera and plays both clarinet and saxophone.

Whether it's for research or simply for pleasure, reading is something that he greatly enjoys. Aside from this, Matt enjoys walking, cycling, design, calligraphy and digital photography.

Leadership and team building qualities have further been developed due to Matt's involvement with various projects & initiatives, ranging from youth work in the UK, campus based initiatives whilst at university and overseas missions work in Europe and the Caribbean.

He has also attended and graduated from a Christian ministry training school in Toronto, Canada.

An experienced speaker, Matt has spoken in a variety of settings and is often noted for his accessible and engaging style, backed up with helpful and inspiring visual presentations.
